The Glacier Lakes Bass Club was established so anglers of all levels of expertise could have an equal opportunity to participate in the camaraderie of supporting bass fishing as a major sport. Our club supports conservation of our beautiful lakes, the passing down of our love of fishing to our youth, and overall good sportsmanship among friends that fish. As a club we encourage open communication, new ideas, positive attitudes, and friendly competition. We have a great group of members, both male and female.
We meet at 6:30pm on the third Tuesday of the month at the Big Boy Restaurant, 126 N. Broad St, Adrian, MI, 49221 from October - April.
We currently fish 9 Club tournaments throughout the year beginning in April and ending with our Club Classic in October. This usually includes a “Catch & Release” tournament before the Bass Season opens in Michigan. We fish mostly local lakes with an “Away Tournament” thrown in to add some fun. We participate in an INTERSTATE CLUB CHALLENGE which tests our 10 best anglers against the 10 best anglers from 11 other Clubs in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio for a traveling trophy, money, and bragging rights. We also host an OPEN Charity Tournament each year. We choose lakes at the December meeting. Your Club dues must be paid by that time to participate in the lake voting.
We currently have Club Members ranging in age from 16 to retirement. Boaters and non-boaters are encouraged to pair up prior to the events with the non-boaters being responsible for securing their own ride with a boater. Members are allowed to fish together as many times as they wish. We also have members who participate in the State championship each year.
